Designed in 1975 by architect Paul Meekels, located in Herent, flemish brabant.
The house is defined by its high ceilings and the extensive use of natural wood and whitewashed brick. These elements work together to create a warm, airy environment. Large windows and strategically placed skylights allow natural light to flood the interior, enhancing the sense of openness and creating dynamic shadows.
The interior layout features an open-plan design with varying levels, which not only maximizes the use of vertical space but also adds a sense of depth and dimension. The lofted areas and mezzanines create distinct zones within the home while maintaining an overall sense of cohesion.
A significant highlight of this project is the custom-designed furniture that enhances both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
The brick walls, bare concrete beams and wooden ceilings dictate the general atmosphere of the brutalist house. A unique place for your next product shoot or film production.
